Over the course of this project, I have been able to advance in my artistic creativity by exploring the 3D world of glass blowing. I have been educated by professional glass artists on the basics of molten glass and how frustrating the practice can be. The process of working with the molten glass at more than a 2000 degrees and cooling the glass is a long and difficult practice, although it is very rewarding and creates the most beautiful and admirable glass art pieces. This exploration of glass has opened up a new art world for me, and has lit my creative spark that I was losing within 2D mediums. I cannot wait to see where my artistic ability in blowing glass can reach.

As I have explored blown glass, I have visited galleries in Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Mesa, and found one in particular called Circle 6, which I am now able to intern for. I have experienced different types of glass art, even stained glass which is a very popular practice at Circle 6 as well. I have been able to make decisions on what types of glass pieces I want to create, and pieces made by others that are abstract and unique in their own way. Overall, this type of art is very frustrating and requires patience, as well as multiple artists in most cases. There are many steps to forming molten glass, and it often needs two or more artists to have it carried out efficiently and correctly.

I have fallen completely in love with blown glass, and I am thrilled to see what I am destined to create down this exploratory road.
